How do I cancel my subscription?

Your purchase is a subscription for a pre-paid subscription term (usually 3, 6 or 12 months). Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each subscription term for the same period. You agree that we may automatically renew your subscription and charge your account at the end of each subscription period (the “Renewal Date”), unless you cancel your subscription before the Renewal Date. You will receive an email notice approximately 7 days prior to the Renewal Date. The notice will let you know that your current subscription term is about to end and the Renewal Date when your subscription will be renewed and your account charged. All notices regarding your subscription will be sent to your last email of record. To cancel your subscription without your account being charged for the next term, you must do so before the Renewal Date. How do I receive a refund?

How do I install and register the program?

MacOS users

Outbyte MacRepair download & install is an easy step-by-step process:

- Download the installer by clicking the DOWNLOAD button on the program page.
- Install the program by double-clicking the downloaded .dmg file and following the on-screen instructions.
- Copy your license code from the order confirmation email. To do this, just highlight the code in the email, then right-click on it and choose Copy.

I see that one license can be used on 3 PC’s. How do I put the program on my second and third computers?

Getting the program onto your second or third computer is exactly the same as getting it installed on your first machine. You need to download the program onto the new computer, run the installer and, once installed, register the program using the same license code. I placed an order, but didn’t get my license key. What do I do?

The most common reason for this problem is a typo in the email address provided during checkout. You can first try retrieving your license info using the form here. If that doesn’t work, please email our Customer Support and provide as many details on your order as you can (your full name, order date, email address you believe you used).

My license key doesn’t work. What could be the reason?

MacOS users

If the key was issued for the program you have, please try to register it following the instructions below:
1) Open the program and press the 'Register' button.
2) Highlight the license code in your confirmation email, right-click on it and select ‘Copy’ from the menu that appears.
3) Right-click inside the registration field and select ‘Paste’ to insert the code.

Windows users

Please, check that you have downloaded and are trying to register the program, for which this license code was purchased. You can see the program name in the top left corner of the main program window. If the key was issued for the program you have, then please try to register it following the instructions below:
1) Open the program and press the 'Register' button in the bottom right corner of the program window.
2) Highlight the license code in your confirmation email and press Ctrl+C to copy it (nothing visible will happen, the highlighted info is copied to a virtual clipboard).
3) Click inside the registration field and press Ctrl+V to paste the code.

How do I renew my license?

Outbyte software products come with a subscription that auto-renews your license at the end of each term allowing you to use the software on your computer with no interruptions. The subscription term may be 1, 3, 6 or 12 months and is specified during the order process. You may cancel auto-renewal any time by contacting Outbyte customer support via email.

Unless you disable auto-renewal, your license will renew automatically prior to expiration. You will be sent an email about 1 week ahead of time notifying you of the upcoming renewal. As long as your email address and payment information haven't changed, you won't have to do anything except wait for an email confirming your license has been renewed.

If you have disabled auto-renewal, then you will be sent an email message notifying you of the upcoming expiration, and you will be able to follow a link in that email message to renew your license manually. I didn't like the results after running an Outbyte program. How can I undo what the program did on my computer?

Windows users

We have created the Rescue Center to ensure that you can always go back if you don't like the results of any operation performed with our software. Most actions are set to be backed up by default, and you can also specify what you want backed up in the program settings. To undo the changes, click on the RESTORE link in the bottom left corner of the program window. This will bring up a list of recent backups. Select the backup you want restored and click RESTORE.

How do I get updates for my Windows program (PC Repair, Anti-Malware, PC Optimizer)?

Open the program, then click on HELP in the top right corner of the main window and select CHECK FOR UPDATES from the drop-down list. This will open your default Internet browser and bring up a web page that will tell you whether your program is up to date. If it is not, you will be able to download the latest updated version by clicking the DOWNLOAD button right on that page.

I ran a scan with a program from another publisher and it shows a different number of issues/errors found than what I got with an Outbyte program. How come?

Different applications use different algorithms for detecting issues, as well as different criteria for what is considered to be a problem. Some may be too aggressive or, on the contrary, not thorough enough in locating performance issues. We cannot comment on software from other publishers, but can tell you that Outbyte programs are equipped with detection algorithms that have been tested and re-tested to be just right.

Can I set the program to start automatically?

MacOS users

Yes, you can set the program to start automatically at macOS logon. To do it, open the “System Preferences” window, click on “User and Groups” under the “System” section. Open “Login items”, then click on the small “+” icon and select the Outbyte program from your “Applications” folder.



Windows users

Yes, you can set the program to start automatically at Windows logon. This can be done in program settings – click on SETTINGS in the top right corner of the program window and in the window that opens check the box next to "Start automatically at Windows logon". Click OK.
