Then, reboot your computer to see if the error message reoccurs.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Run_SFC_%E2%80%93_System_File_Checker_Tool\"><\/span>Run SFC \u2013 System File Checker Tool<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>System File Checker<\/strong> utility finds and replaces corrupted system files.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Type <code class=\"inline\">cmd<\/code> in the search bar, then selected <strong>&#8220;Run as Administrator&#8221;<\/strong> which opens the <strong>Command Prompt<\/strong> window.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Type the following command: <code class=\"inline\">sfc \/scannow<\/code>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Let it finish the scan, as SFC will automatically replace the files that have errors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Now, restart your computer and check if this solution fixes your problem.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Run_DISM\"><\/span>Run DISM<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>DISM<\/strong> tool fixes corrupted system files in Windows. with the appropriate drive letter).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hit <code class=\"inline\">Y<\/code> when it asks for confirmation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reboot your computer. <code class=\"inline\">CHKDSK<\/code> will run during boot..<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Use_PowerShell\"><\/span>Use PowerShell<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Another effective method of troubleshooting in drives is with the use of <strong>PowerShell<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the search box, type <code class=\"inline\">PowerShell<\/code>, then click the &#8220;<strong>Run as Administrator<\/strong>&#8221; option to load the application.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once inside PowerShell, execute the following in the command prompt: <code class=\"inline\">Repair-Volume -DriveLetter C<\/code>. <br>Change &#8220;<code class=\"inline\">C<\/code>&#8221;
