Please make sure there is space between \u2018c\u2019 and the forward slash. <figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"672\" height=\"244\" src=\"https:\/\/outbyte.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sfc-scannow.jpg\" alt=\"sfc \/scannow command\" class=\"wp-image-1085\" srcset=\"https:\/\/outbyte.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sfc-scannow.jpg 672w, https:\/\/outbyte.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sfc-scannow-300x109.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 672px) 100vw, 672px\" \/><\/figure><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>SFC will begin scanning for broken, missing, or corrupted system files. If you face any similar update errors like <a href=\"https:\/\/outbyte.com\/blog\/how-to-fix-the-windows-error-status-0xc000012f\/\">0xc000012f<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/outbyte.com\/blog\/fix-windows-update-error-0x80070005\/\">error 80070005<\/a>, the SFC scan may also help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The process might take a while. Be patient until it completes, then restart your PC and see if the error has been solved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Fix_3_Run_DISM\"><\/span>Fix #3: Run DISM<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Use the DISM utility tool if SFC was not able to fix the error. DISM performs a thorough PC scan to identify and <a href=\"https:\/\/outbyte.com\/blog\/find-and-fix-corrupted-files-on-windows-10\/\">fix corrupted files<\/a> using fresh versions from Microsoft. This is why it is important to have a stable internet before conducting the DISM scan. Like the SFC scan, you\u2019ll also run the DISM tool through an elevated Command Prompt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Click the <strong>Search bar<\/strong> on the taskbar and type <code class=\"inline\">cmd<\/code>.<\/li><li>Click \u2018<strong>Run as administrator<\/strong>\u2019 (if you\u2019re using Windows 10) or right-click \u2018cmd\u2019 and select \u2018Run as administrator\u2019.
